Dr Sangita Reddy, President, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Group

Dr. Sangita Reddy is a Global Healthcare Leader is the Joint Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited - Asia's largest and most trusted healthcare group. Dr. Sangita Reddy is a member of The World Economic Forum, Rockefeller working Group, past member on Health for the Twelfth Five Year Plan, Planning Commission, Govt of India. She is also a Member of the Tech Devpt Board, Department of Science and Tech, Govt of India and is an Executive Member at NASSCOM.


Harjinder Kang

Director and Head of Healthcare, Department of International Trade, HM Government & Senior Independent Director of Sandwell & West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust

Harjinder joined the Civil Service following a private sector career of over 30 years within the global pharmaceutical industry, primarily with AstraZeneca PLC, where he held numerous senior roles. He is the Vice Chair of Sandwell & West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust and has served on the Council of the University of Birmingham. In 2016 Harjinder founded Abnasia Ltd, an independent consulting firm specialising in providing commercial expertise to global pharma industry and was engaged by many of the top pharma companies to assist them with their strategic commercial issues. Harjinder is delighted in the opportunity of joining the Department for International Trade to lead this vitally important area of the economy. The pace of innovation in the UK is staggering, and he is immensely proud to be supporting the healthcare, life sciences and bioeconomy sector. He and his team will do everything in their power to help UK companies and institutions achieve even greater success, both within the UK and abroad.


Howard Lyons CBE, Managing Director, Healthcare UK

Howard Lyons was appointed Managing Director of Healthcare UK in January 2013. Having forged his career in NHS management, including holding senior management positions in London teaching hospitals, Howard has been actively involved in taking the best of British healthcare and applying its expertise overseas. Since leaving the NHS to work on international assignments, he managed large hospitals in the Middle East and undertook a wide range of consulting assignments for public and private sector clients as well as for some of the major development agencies like the World Bank, DfiD, the Inter-American Development Bank and the United Nations.


Shobha Mishra Ghosh, Asst. Secretary General, FICCI

Shobha heads Education (school, vocational education & higher education), Skill Development, Health, Health Insurance, Medical Technology and Life Sciences (Pharmaceuticals & Biotechnology). She has also published articles and reports and is invited as Policy expert to various national and international forums. She has worked with organization like The Energy and Resource Institute (TERI), Schumacher Centre Delhi (SCD), Indian partner of IDG (India Development Group) in London, U.K, and ACORD in various leadership positions. She is a trained architect with a post-graduation in Urban Planning from Institute of Housing and Development Studies (IHS), Rotterdam, The Netherlands.


Dr Murtaza Khorakiwala, Managing Director, Wockhardt

Dr. Murtaza Khorakiwala represents a unique blend of scientific knowledge and business acumen. A graduate in Medicine from GS Medical College, Mumbai, India, and Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Illinois, USA, he has been Managing Director of Wockhardt Limited since April 2009. He is the member of the Executive Committee of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), he was the past Chairman of the Marketing Committee of the Bombay Management Association.


Professor Ged Byrne MBE

Professor Ged Byrne is a surgical oncologist and director of global engagement at Health Education England. Professor Byrne is responsible for the enhancement of the NHS workforce through engagement with countries within and outside the EEA. He is a Professor of Medical Education at the UoM, an honorary Professor of Health Sciences at the University of Salford and was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship by the Higher Education Academy. In his roles as director of Education and Quality for Health Education North West and director of Education and Quality for HHE North, he has led nationally for HEE on population health and prevention, patient safety and academic development. He has a long-standing interest in global healthcare capacity building and education, leading the development of the GuluMan healthcare link and is the founder director of the Uganda-UK Healthcare Alliance. He was awarded an MBE in the Queens Birthday Honours in 2019 for global and medical education.
